This beautiful masterpiece of a cemetery is the resting place of many famous people and stunning architectural eras. Your eyes will gravitate to the romantic influences of the Victorian era while fascinated by the Southern Gothic representation. AS you glide through the fabulous live oaks and wonderfully dangling Spanish Moss, listen close. You might just hear Johnny Mercer’s “Moon River” traveling through the breeze. The Segways and electric bikes provide an intimate way to connect to the character of this heavenly place.

What was once an 18th century plantation owned by Savannah’s influential Tattnall family you will now find a beautiful Victorian Garden which we all know as Bonaventure Cemetery. Resting peacefully along the beautiful Wilmington River and surrounded by centuries old live oaks you can find some of Savannah’s most amazing sculptures, stone work and cast iron art. Touring Bonaventure Cemetery with one of our skilled tour guides will give you a special insight into the symbolism of this grand Victorian garden and place of eternal rest.

Travel through history on our Segway or Electric Bikes and see Bonaventure in a way that is just not possible by driving through this 160 acre outdoor museum to Savannah’s dearly departed. Though not the oldest, Bonaventure is certainly the most famous and hauntingly beautiful cemetery and has captured the imaginations of writers, poets, naturalists, photographers and filmmakers for more than 150 years. Stop and visit with one of the country’s most prolific song writers and co-founder of Capitol Records, Johnny Mercer or leave a small gift for little Gracie which legend says will bring you good luck! The famous sculptor John Walz who immortalized Little Gracie in white Georgia marble is also laid to rest in Bonaventure.

Reserve your Bonaventure Segway or Electric Bike tour today and prepare to make memories of a lifetime!
